Rail Runner Weekend

The Rail Runner Weekend is an adaptation of Cass Gilbert's prolific New Mexico Off-Road Runner Route, a giant cross-state 500-mile ride that generally takes folks nine days to complete. Not many of us have nine days to set off on our bikes, which is why we choose to shorten this route to a 3-day itinerary ending in Belen, which just happens to be the last stop on the Sante Fe Rail Runner train. Getting back to Sante Fe is as easy as hopping on the train for $10. As always, we give you just a glimpse to spark your interest. Dive into your own research and set off on an unforgettable exploration! Bikepacking.com has plenty of information on the majority of this route.
